Job summary

Orica is seeking an Electrical Reliability Engineer to join the Kooragang Island manufacturing site. You will develop maintenance strategies, investigate failures and drive improvements to asset reliability, safety and performance.

Reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineer, you will provide technical support to maintenance and operations, lead root cause analysis, and deliver projects that enhance plant availability. The role may offer relocation within Australia for the successful candidate.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Around five years of relevant electrical engineering or reliability experience.
• Experience with power distribution, switchboards, motors and UPS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve preventive maintenance plans and asset management strategies for electrical plant equipment.
• Investigate equipment failures and lead root cause analysis, reliability-centred maintenance and failure mode assessments.
• Provide technical support to maintenance and operations teams during planned and reactive work.
• Analyse equipment history and operational data to improve availability, reliability and maintenance performance.
• Recommend repair methods, materials, tools and critical spare parts for electrical assets.
• Deliver improvement projects that address reliability, maintenance and safety concerns.
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve plant safety, cost effectiveness, operability and maintainability.
