Job summary

Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group (NCIG) is seeking an Engineering Officer to join our team at one of Australia’s major coal export terminals. You’ll blend hands-on electrical expertise with engineering, problem solving and project work to improve plant reliability and performance.

You’ll deliver small engineering projects, support more complex initiatives, and provide technical fault-finding support across operations, working with engineers, maintenance and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade certificate required.
• Current Electrical Licence required.
• Higher tertiary qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical engineering support, including fault finding and investigations.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver small to medium engineering projects.
• Coordinate safety testing and ensure compliance with standards.
• Support contractors and consultants to deliver work safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate within the Assets Team and coach technicians as required.
