Job summary

Transport for NSW, Sydney Trains, invites applications for a Rail Maintainer, Electrical on a fixed-term full-time basis to support the Tangara Fleet Life Extension project. The role is based at Flemington or Auburn Maintenance Centre in Sydney and involves hands-on electrical maintenance of the Tangara Fleet.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification with experience in electrical heavy engineering or maintenance.
• Strong fault finding, communication and lateral thinking skills.
• Excellent organizational, prioritization, and initiative abilities.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting, servicing, overhauling, and repairing systems, equipment, and components on the Tangara Fleet.
• Performing inspections, maintenance, overhauls, fault finding, repairs, modifications, upgrades, component changes, and functional testing on Tangara Fleet train equipment.
• Reporting to Maintenance Shift Managers and Team Leaders, collaborating with Rail Maintainers and Engineering support staff.
