Job summary

CTC Electrical is seeking a senior Project Manager to lead utility-scale solar projects from mobilisation through commissioning and handover. This site-focused role manages performance, client relationships, commercial management, programming, resources, safety and quality to ensure contract delivery.

The role will work across Australia’s East Coast with rosters of 10‑days‑on/4‑days‑off or 2‑weeks‑on/1‑week‑off, and requires travel to regional project sites.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for project delivery, performance and profitability
• Develop and manage project programs, forecasts and delivery strategies
• Lead mobilisation, construction, testing, commissioning and handover activities
• Maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders
• Manage contractual obligations, project correspondence, variations and commercial risks
• Monitor productivity, labour expenditure, plant utilisation and material requirements
• Establish the project management structure and ensure clear accountability across the team
• Coordinate workforce planning, crew allocation and project resources
• Identify program constraints and implement practical recovery strategies
• Oversee site audits, inspections, and HSE compliance requirements
• Review project progress and provide accurate reporting to senior management and the client

Job description

The Project Manager will lead each project from mobilisation and planning through construction, commissioning and final handover. This is a senior, site-focused position responsible for project performance, client relationships, commercial management, programming, resources, safety, quality and overall delivery. You will work closely with our Construction Managers, Commissioning Managers, Supervisors, HSE, Quality, Project Engineering and Stores teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual requirements.

The position will work across CTC Electrical’s utility-scale solar projects throughout Australia’s East Coast. Depending on the project and location, the role will operate on either a 10-days-on/4-days-off or 2-weeks-on/1-week-off roster. Applicants must be willing to travel and work on regional project sites.

About you

Previous experience managing utility-scale solar, renewable-energy, electrical or major infrastructure projects

Demonstrated experience delivering projects from mobilisation through to handover

Strong knowledge of project programming, cost control, forecasting and resource planning

Experience managing contracts, variations, commercial risks and client relationships

The ability to lead multidisciplinary construction and commissioning teams

Strong understanding of WHS, quality and environmental requirements

Excellent communication, reporting, negotiation and problem-solving skills

A current Australian driver licence and Construction White Card

The ability to work on regional and remote project sites under a project-based roster
