Job summary

Core Talent is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent for a major utility-scale solar project in Muswellbrook. The role will oversee electrical construction, installation, testing and commissioning, leading crews and subcontractors to deliver quality results.

You will work with project teams to ensure safety, on-schedule progress and compliance with drawings, specifications and industry standards. A strong background in solar/electrical systems is essential.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years' experience in electrical construction or project delivery.
• Experience on utility-scale solar or major infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience supervising electrical crews and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of solar electrical systems, MV systems, transformers and substations.
• Ability to interpret single-line diagrams and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise electrical crews, subcontractors and service providers.
• Coordinate installation across DC/AC systems, inverters, transformers, switchgear, cabling, earthing, SCADA and communications.
• Manage daily and weekly electrical construction activities and resources.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, ITPs, permits and Australian standards.
• Monitor programme progress; identify risks and drive corrective actions.
• Review drawings and manage RFIs/design queries.
• Oversee inspections, testing, NCRs and handover documentation.
• Support pre-commissioning, testing, energisation and commissioning.
• Maintain safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Mentor supervisors, electricians and site personnel.

Electrical Superintendent - Utility Scale Solar
Location:Muswellbrook
Salary:$180-200k + super, plus 10% site allowance
Roster: 10/4 (DIDO and FIFO considered for the role)

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to join a major utility-scale solar project. This is a site-based leadership role overseeing electrical construction, installation, testing and commissioning activities across the project.

You will lead electrical crews and subcontractors while working closely with the wider construction and project teams to ensure works are delivered safely, on schedule and to the required quality standards.
