Job summary

Downer is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join our Energy & Utilities Water team based in Beenleigh, Brisbane. The Project Engineer will work closely with Design Managers, Project Managers, Senior Project Engineers, and other project team members to support the successful delivery of their assigned discipline or project component.

This role focuses on brownfields experience, subcontractor oversight, and robust documentation within the Water sector, contributing to the engineering

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering at a Bachelor / Advanced Diploma Level.
• Minimum 2 years project engineering experience in Industrial or commercial sectors.
• Strong experience managing subcontractors.
• Competency in reviewing and developing construction drawings and documentation.
• Accurate record keeping and documentation.
• Financial management and reporting, including budgeting.
• Experience in quality assurance and controls in project delivery.
• Strong background working on brownfields sites is preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Project Engineer will work closely with Design Managers, Project Managers, Senior Project Engineers and other project team members to support the successful delivery of the assigned discipline or project component.
• This role supports the engineering and delivery effort across a wide range of infrastructure projects within the Water sector.
