Job summary

Downer in Beenleigh, Brisbane, seeks an Electrical Project Engineer to join our Energy and Utilities Water team on a newly awarded project. You will support delivery across brownfield sites and work with Design Managers, Project Managers and Senior Project Engineers.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, managing subcontractors, and tracking drawings, documentation, budgets and quality controls to ensure successful project outcomes on water infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering at a Bachelor / Advanced Diploma Level.
• Minimum 2 years project engineering experience.
• Experience managing subcontractors.
• Experience reviewing construction drawings and documentation.
• Financial management and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of assigned discipline or project component.
• Collaborate with Design Managers, Project Managers and Senior Project Engineers.

The Opportunity
As part of a newly awarded project within our Energy and Utilities Water business, we are seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join our team based in Beenleigh, Brisbane.

The Project Engineer will work closely with Design Managers, Project Managers, Senior Project Engineers, and other project team members to support the successful delivery of their assigned discipline or project component. This role plays a key part in supporting the engineering and delivery effort across a wide range of infrastructure projects within the Water sector.

What we are looking for

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering at a Bachelor / Advanced Diploma Level
• Strong background working on brownfields sites is preferred
• Project engineering experience within the Industrial or commercial industry (Minimum 2 years)
• Strong experience managing subcontractors
• Competency in reviewing, development construction drawings and documentation
• Accurate record keeping and documentation
• Financial management and reporting, including budgeting
• Experience in quality assurance and controls in project delivery
