Job summary

Evolution Mining's Ernest Henry mine in Queensland seeks a Project Engineer - Electrical to lead the delivery of electrical engineering projects, ensuring safe, reliable operations and asset performance across mining assets.

You will design, implement and manage electrical systems, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and contractors, and support commissioning and handover with a clear, proactive safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience delivering engineering projects in mining or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, control systems, automation and instrumentation.
• Proven ability to manage contractors and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
• Commitment to safety, health, environment and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Deliver projects on time, within budget, and with safety and quality.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, schedules, budgets and resources.
• Review designs, technical specifications and equipment selection.
• Develop electrical design packages including power distribution, lighting, control systems, instrumentation and automation.
• Provide technical support during construction, installation and commissioning activities.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor progress and resolve technical issues.
• Participate in risk assessments and implement electrical safety controls.
• Engage with stakeholders and provide clear project updates and documentation.
