Job summary

Multicultural Consulting Services (MCS) is seeking an Electrical Engineer to coordinate low-voltage power, lighting and station electrical systems for a major rail upgrade at the Beerburrum project site in Queensland. You will manage design, construction and commissioning across scope, budget and schedule.

The role requires experience in rail or brownfield environments, strong stakeholder engagement and a practical approach to safety and quality assurance, with opportunities for technical

Qualifications

• Bachelors or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience delivering low-voltage infrastructure including power and lighting.
• Ability to manage design, construction and commissioning across projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design integration and change management.
• Provide technical support, site inspections and quality oversight during construction.
• Resolve interfaces with designers, delivery partners and rail stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with electrical standards and safety requirements.

The Opportunity

Coordinate low-voltage power, lighting and communications packages for a substantial rail upgrade, based at the Beerburrum project site.

Your Work

• Manage design, construction, testing and handover against scope, budget, schedule and risk controls.
• Coordinate design integration, assurance and change management.
• Provide technical support, site inspections and quality oversight during construction.
• Resolve interfaces with designers, delivery partners and rail stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and safety, environmental and quality requirements.

Requirements

• Electrical engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience delivering low-voltage infrastructure, including power, lighting and station electrical systems.
• Capability across design, construction and commissioning management.
• Understanding of electrical standards, safety and engineering assurance.
• Experience in rail, transport or brownfield environments and managing contractors, cost, scope and programme.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and technical communication.
