Job summary

CC Pines in Sydney is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to own the electrical design, coordination and delivery for a Defence-linked Darwin project. You’ll split your time between design work in our Sydney offices and Darwin site visits to oversee installation, resolution of issues, and ensure on-program delivery.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineer with design and construction experience.
• Solid construction experience on commercial, infrastructure, or government projects.
• Procurement and end-to-end subcontractor management experience.
• Strong problem-solving and effective communication with stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to Darwin as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and coordination for Darwin project from concept to as-built.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, site team and subcontractors to keep electrical works on program and on spec.
• Managing procurement of electrical materials, equipment and subcontract packages.
• Reviewing and approving electrical drawings, specifications and contractor submissions.
• Travel to site in Darwin as required to inspect works, troubleshoot issues and support commissioning.
• Identifying risks early and working through practical solutions.
• Ensuring electrical works meet relevant Australian standards and project compliance requirements.
• Reporting progress and technical updates to the Project Manager and wider project team.
