Job summary

CC Pines Pty Ltd is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join our Sydney team, splitting time between Oxford Falls and Macquarie Park, and supporting the electrical scope on our Defence-linked Darwin project.

You'll own electrical design, coordination and delivery, working with the Project Manager and site teams to ensure safety, compliance and on-schedule delivery, with Darwin site visits as required. This role offers meaningful ownership and a clear career path.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineer with design and/or construction experience.
• Experience on commercial, infrastructure or government projects.
• Procurement experience managing materials and subcontract packages.
• Subcontractor management experience.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to adapt to site logistics.
• Clear communication with stakeholders in technical and plain English.
• Willingness to travel to Darwin as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and engineering for the Darwin project, from concept through to as-built.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, site team and subcontractors to keep electrical works on program and on spec.
• Manage procurement of electrical materials, equipment and subcontract packages.
• Review and approve electrical drawings, specifications and contractor submissions.
• Travel to Darwin to inspect works, troubleshoot issues and support commissioning.
• Identify risks early and develop practical solutions.
• Ensure electrical works meet Australian standards and project compliance requirements.
• Report progress and technical updates to the Project Manager and wider project team.

The Role

As Electrical Project Engineer, you'll take ownership of the electrical design, coordination and delivery for our Darwin project, working closely with the Project Manager and site team to make sure the electrical scope is safe, compliant and delivered on program. You'll split your time between Sydney-based design and coordination work, and site visits to Darwin to oversee installation, resolve issues, and keep the project moving.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading electrical design and engineering for the Darwin project, from concept through to as‑built
• Coordinating with the Project Manager, site team and subcontractors to keep electrical works on program and on spec
• Managing procurement of electrical materials, equipment and subcontract packages
• Reviewing and approving electrical drawings, specifications and contractor submissions
• Travelling to site in Darwin as required to inspect works, troubleshoot issues and support commissioning
• Identifying risks early and working through practical solutions
• Ensuring electrical works meet relevant Australian standards and project compliance requirements
• Reporting progress and technical updates to the Project Manager and wider project team

Skills and Experiences:

What We're Looking For

• Degree qualified Electrical Engineer, with experience across design, construction, or a mix of both
• Solid construction experience, ideally on commercial, infrastructure or government projects
• Procurement experience, comfortable managing materials, equipment and subcontract packages end to end
• Subcontractor management experience, including scoping, coordination and performance oversight
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the flexibility to adapt when site logistics don't go to plan
• Solid communication skills, both technical and plain English, for working with a range of stakeholders
• Willingness and ability to travel to Darwin as required
