Job summary

Core Talent in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to lead electrical engineering activities on High Voltage and utility-scale renewable projects. You’ll coordinate across the project lifecycle, from design through commissioning, collaborating with customers, PMs, suppliers and specialists to deliver safely, on time and within budget.

The role emphasizes technical delivery, problem solving and strong communication within multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (preferred)
• 3+ years' experience in High Voltage, utilities, renewables
• CPEng registered or working towards it
• Strong communication and stakeholder skills
• Experience in multidisciplinary project teams
• Problem solver who enjoys technical challenges

Responsibilities

Permanent | Office based | Three positions available

About the Role

A well regarded engineering business is growing its Brisbane team and needs an experienced Electrical Project Engineer. You'll be part of the engineering delivery on complex High Voltage and utility-scale renewable energy projects, working with customers, project managers, suppliers, contractors and technical specialists from design through to commissioning. The focus is getting projects delivered safely, on time, on budget and to a high standard.

What you'll do

• Lead and coordinate engineering activities across the project lifecycle
• Deliver technical solutions for High Voltage and utility-scale renewable projects
• Support testing, installation and commissioning
• Work with suppliers and supply chain teams to make sure technical requirements are met
• Contribute to project planning, risk assessments and contract management
• Support customers with technical guidance through delivery

  About you

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Electrical preferred
  • Around 3+ years' experience in High Voltage, utilities, renewables, transmission, distribution or a related field
  • CPEng registered, or working towards it
  • Strong communication and stakeholder skills
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary project teams
  • A problem solver who enjoys technical challenges
