Job summary

Ampcontrol is seeking an Electrical Project Coordinator to join our Mackay team. Based in Mackay, this full-time role reports to the Service Delivery Manager within the Project Delivery Team and focuses on coordinating all technical and project activities.

Key duties include project execution, scheduling, estimating, documentation, procurement, and subcontractor management, with emphasis on health and safety and customer satisfaction. Join a dynamic team delivering high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Project/contract management experience.
• Sound computer skills including MS Office/Microsoft Project.
• Diploma in Project Management is desirable.
• Electrical Trade Certificate is desirable.
• General estimating proficiency desirable.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Project execution, planning and coordination of HV electrical switchgear.
• Review customer project scope and estimating.
• Scheduling and coordinating project activities.
• Coordinate project documentation and procurement of estimated materials.
• Subcontractor management (paint / heavy manufacturing).
• Monitor and control project costs.
• Liaise with customers/clients and external companies as required.
• Provide customer updates and reporting; chair progress meetings when required.
• Understand design processes and maintain positive client relations.
• Commit to health and safety and delivering high quality end products.

What You Will Do

Due to Ampcontrol’s continued success and growth, we are expanding our team therefore seeking a proactive Electrical Project Coordinator who thrives off being organised and has pronounced planning, scheduling, and estimating skills!

Based in Mackay, this role is a full-time opportunity reporting directly to the Service Delivery Manager playing a key role within our Project Delivery Team.

You will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of all technical and project related activities, specifically:

• Project execution, planning and coordination of HV electrical switchgear
• Review customer project scope and estimating
• Scheduling
• Coordinate project documentation
• Procurement of estimated materials
• Subcontractor management – paint / heavy manufacturing
• Monitor and control project costs
• Liaise with customers/clients and external companies as required
• Customer updates and reporting
• Coordinate, attend and when required chair project kick off or progress review meetings
• Understanding of design process
• Establish and maintain positive client relations to ensure customer satisfaction and continued forward forecast of repeat work
• Commitment to health and safety and delivering high quality product for the end user
