Job summary

Talison Lithium Pty Ltd, Greenbushes Lithium Operation, seeks a Project Co-ordination professional with an electrical focus to support the Greenbushes operation. You will report to the Electrical Project Delivery Superintendent and drive project investigations, designs and implementations with safety, cost effectiveness and environmental responsibility in mind.

• Minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience in a Project Co-ordination role.
• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a trade background with qualifications in Project Management.
• Current WA electrical licence preferred.
• High Voltage Switching Operators Certificate with HV experience preferred.
• IT literate with emphasis on project planning and Microsoft suite of programs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planning, design and scheduling activities for projects.
• Manage capital expense applications and reconciliations for projects.
• Prepare tenders, scopes, bills of quality, inspection test plans and quality management as required for projects.
• Liaise closely with other inter-discipline members of the site teams.
• Monitor and manage effective implementation of project design and plans.
• Ensure project activities are carried out to required standards and procedures.
• Monitor and report on performance against plan and budget and investigate variations.
• Review and cost contractor claims and other invoices.
• Provide technical direction and coordination for project related contractors; and
• Ensure contractors comply with established safe working practices including site environmental requirements.

About The Role

Reporting to the Electrical Project Delivery Superintendent, the successful candidate will investigate, design and implement projects for the Greenbushes operation and to ensure that project works are conducted in a safe, economic and environmentally responsible manner.

About The Candidate

• minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience in a Project Co-ordination role, preferably in a brown fields environment;
• proven ability in project management;
• understanding of electrical projects;
• analytical skills to prepare and manage capital budgets/forecasts and analyse cost variance;
• contract management including preparation of tenders, scopes, bills of quantity, inspection test plans and quality management;
• technical experience across mining or mineral processing operations;
• technical writing skills
• strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• ability to demonstrate effective people management skills;
• knowledge and ability to interpret mine safety regulations;
• knowledge and ability to interpret Australian Wiring Rules;
• High Voltage Switching Operators Certificate with H/V experience preferred
• PLC, Citect and Field Instrument experience preferred
• IT literate with emphasis on projects planning and Microsoft suite of programs.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a trade background with qualifications in Project Management
• Current WA electrical licence preferred
