Job summary

Broken Hill Mines is seeking an experienced Electrical Planner to join our Maintenance team in Broken Hill, NSW. This residential role focuses on planning, scheduling and coordinating electrical maintenance across mining and processing operations, working with the Maintenance Manager and engineers to ensure safe, on-time delivery within budget.

You will develop preventative and corrective maintenance strategies, plan weekly and long-term activities, coordinate shutdowns and outages, and drive

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in electrical maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Trades qualification or engineering background in electrical systems.
• Experience with budgeting and coordinating multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop preventative and corrective maintenance strategies.
• Plan and schedule weekly, periodic and long-term electrical maintenance.
• Coordinate planned shutdowns and outages for electrical systems.
• Maintain electrical maintenance schedules and BOMs in PRONTO.
• Prepare weekly work plans aligned with production needs.
• Collaborate with mining and milling teams on infrastructure needs.
• Assist with electrical projects and capital planning.
• Monitor contractor hours and maintenance expenditure.
