Job summary

Specialised Engineering Technologies (SET) is a Newcastle-based engineering and construction company delivering infrastructure for mining, data centres and critical facilities. We are growing our major projects team and seeking an Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing (MEP) quality leader to own quality across large campus projects.

You will lead contractors through installation, testing, and handover, ensuring compliance with AS/NZS standards and client QA frameworks, with a focus on data centres

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (essential).
• 7–10+ years' experience, including leading quality on major Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing construction projects.
• Proven record of managing quality across multiple contractors and work packages.
• Working knowledge of AS/NZS 3000, AS 1668 and AS/NZS 3500.
• Data centre or mission-critical experience (highly regarded).
• Experience across electrical, mechanical and plumbing services (highly regarded).
• Chartered status (CPEng / NER) highly regarded.
• Industrial or critical infrastructure experience (essential).
• A White Card and a current driver's licence.

• Manage non-conformances, defects and quality records through to final handover.
• Lead and mentor quality team members and report to senior project stakeholders.

Ensure Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing works comply with the client's quality management framework, and report on quality performance.

Review and approve contractor quality plans, ITPs and ITRs across electrical, mechanical and plumbing works.
