Job summary

Specialised Engineering Technologies (SET) is a Newcastle-based engineering company delivering infrastructure for mining, data centres and critical facilities. SET is growing its major projects team and seeks an experienced Civil Structural Architectural Quality Manager to lead CSA quality across a large multi-building campus.

You will own quality across civil, structural and architectural works, review plans and ITPs, oversee hold points, audit standards and manage non-conformances while

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering essential
• 7–10+ years' experience, including leading quality on major construction projects
• Proven record of managing quality across multiple contractors and work packages
• Chartered status (CPEng / NER) highly regarded
• Industrial or critical infrastructure experience (essential)
• A White Card and a current driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Own CSA quality across a large campus with civil, structural and architectural works across multiple contractors
• Review and approve contractor quality plans, ITPs and ITRs
• Oversee hold and witness points (earthworks, piling, reinforcement, concrete pours, structural steel, facades)
• Review contractor test results and lab reports (NATA-accredited) for compliance
• Audit contractors against client standards and AS/NC standards (AS 3600, AS 1379, AS 3798, AS 2159, AS 4100)
• Manage non-conformances, defects and quality records through to handover
• Lead and mentor quality team and report to senior stakeholders

Civil Structural Architectural Quality Manager – Major Projects

You'll own CSA quality across a large multi-building campus, covering civil, structural and architectural works across multiple contractors, from early earthworks through to handover.

Key responsibilities

Ensure CSA works comply with the client's quality management framework, and report on quality performance.

Review and approve contractor quality plans, ITPs and ITRs across civil, structural and architectural works.

Oversee hold and witness points, including earthworks compaction, piling, reinforcement, concrete pours, structural steel, facades and finishes.

Review contractor test results and certification, including NATA-accredited lab reports, for compliance.

Audit contractors against client quality standards, the National Construction Code and the relevant Australian Standards, including AS 3600, AS 1379, AS 3798, AS 2159 and AS 4100.

Manage non-conformances, defects and quality records through to final handover.

Lead and mentor quality team members and report to senior project stakeholders.

About you

A Bachelor of Civil Engineering (essential).

A proven record of managing quality across multiple contractors and work packages.
