Job summary

Northern Star Mining Services Limited is seeking an experienced Underground Leading Hand - Electrician for our KCGM Operations. You will lead the underground electrical team, align with the Electrical Supervisor, and uphold safety standards in a challenging mining environment.

The role requires a WA A-grade Electrical Licence, a WA C-class Driver's Licence, and proven underground leadership. Desirable tickets include HV switching, Working at Heights, and HRW licensing.

Qualifications

• Current A grade Western Australian Electrical Licence.
• Current C Class Western Australian Driver's Licence.
• High Voltage switching ticket (desirable).
• Nationally recognised Working at Heights competency (desirable).
• High Risk Work Licence (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and direct underground electrical team.
• Report to Electrical Supervisor and ensure safety practices.
• Foster training and knowledge transfer to Electrical personnel.

NSMS currently have an exciting opportunity based at our KCGM Operations for an experienced Underground Leading Hand - Electrician.

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for the leadership, supervision, and direction of the underground electrical team.

• Job Title: Trades – Leading Hand - Electrical
• Employment Type: Permanent Full Time
• Roster: 7/7, 12hr Shifts

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in the mining industry.
• Proven ability to effectively lead teams in an underground environment.
• Ability to train and pass on knowledge to Electrical personnel.Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices
• Awareness of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations

Qualifications :

• Current "A" Grade Western Australian Electrical Licence
• Current "C" Class Western Australian Driver's Licence
• High Voltage switching ticket (desirable)
• Nationally recognized Working at Heights competency (desirable)
• High Risk Work Licence (desirable)
