Job summary

GR Production Services is seeking an E&I Technician to deliver safe, reliable electrical and instrumentation maintenance across well sites in the Surat Basin. You will perform planned and breakdown maintenance, fault finding and calibration, while maintaining records and supporting continuous improvement.

The role requires certificates/licences listed and the ability to work autonomously in remote locations with a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Certifications and licences required for electrical and instrumentation maintenance.
• Experience with well field maintenance contracts and safety-focused operations.
• Proven ability to work autonomously in remote field locations with quality and client-focus.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance across well site electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Fault finding, diagnostics, testing and repair of electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
• Maintaining and troubleshooting field instrumentation, control systems, telemetry and associated equipment.
• Performing electrical installations, modifications and maintenance in accordance with standards and site requirements.
• Completing routine inspections, testing and calibration of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Responding to breakdowns and maintenance requests across the well field in a timely and professional manner.
• Accurately completing maintenance records, work orders and relevant documentation.
• Working with maintenance and operations teams to minimise downtime and maintain production reliability.
• Identifying potential equipment issues and contributing to preventative maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Understand and comply with HSEQ systems and Life Saving Rules.
• Establish positive relationships with stakeholders and maintain a learner mindset.

The Role

The role of an E&I Technician you will be responsible for providing safe, reliable and responsive electrical and instrumentation maintenance across well site facilities within the Surat Basin.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance across well site electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Fault finding, diagnostics, testing and repair of electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
• Maintaining and troubleshooting field instrumentation, control systems, telemetry and associated equipment.
• Performing electrical installations, modifications and maintenance in accordance with relevant standards, procedures and site requirements.
• Completing routine inspections, testing and calibration of electrical and instrumentation equipment.

Experience

• Previous experience working on well field maintenance contracts, including preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment
• Ability to work autonomously in remote field locations, with a strong focus on safety compliance, quality and client requirements.
• 3- 5 years’ experience in same or similar position
