Western Power is expanding its Electrical Inspectorate in Western Australia and seeks skilled Electrical Inspectors to ensure safety and compliance of consumer installations, including home battery systems and emerging energy technologies across Perth.

Qualifications

  • Current Electrical Workers License.
  • WA Driver’s License Class C or C-A.
  • Designated as an Inspector (Electrical).
  • Certificate of Energy Coordination Act 1994, Electricity Act 1945.
  • Certificate IV in Government Investigations (Completion within 12 Months of commencement).
  • Detailed working knowledge of electrical transmission and distribution networks and their associated systems.
  • Detailed working knowledge of AS3000 and West Australian Electrical requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience.
  • Experience in electrical metering and/or installation practices, regulations, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety and compliance of consumer electrical installations.
  • Support initiatives like home battery systems and other emerging energy technologies across Perth.
  • Contribute to powering a cleaner energy future for Western Australia.
