Job summary

Quad Switchboards, part of Gosling Group, is seeking an Electrical Fitter to join the workshop team in Coffs Harbour, on a full-time or part-time basis. You will build switchboards from drawings through to the finished product, ensuring quality and safety.

Reporting to the Quad Manager, you’ll work with the team to take on larger projects and meet production deadlines while upholding strict safety procedures and documentation.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Electrotechnology (or equivalent) is required.
• SafeWork NSW White Card is required.
• Hands-on switchboard wiring experience is essential.
• Experience with Schneider or NHP switchgear is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of AS/NZS 61439, AS/NZS 3000 and NSW Service and Installation Rules.
• Ability to read single line diagrams and control schematics.

Responsibilities

• Wire, assemble and fit out switchboards in accordance with drawings and specifications
• Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian Standards and the NSW Service and Installation Rules
• Carry out quality checks to ensure finished products meet company and client standards
• Follow all safety procedures and complete required documentation to protect the health and safety of yourself and others
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised work area
• Work collaboratively with the workshop team to meet production deadlines

What We’re Looking For

• Cert III in Electrotechnology and/or Cert III Electrical Fitting (required)
• SafeWork NSW White card (required)
• Demonstrated hands-on switchboard wiring experience
• Previous experience with Schneider/NHP switchgear (highly preferred)
• Knowledge of AS/NZS 61439, AS/NZS 3000 and the NSW Service and Installation Rules
• Ability to interpret single line diagrams, control schematics and technical specifications
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
• Ability to follow direction and work independently
• Organised, proactive and able to manage your time to meet deadlines
• Must hold a valid driver’s license
