Job summary

Based in Sydney, Indigenous Business Growth (IBG) seeks an experienced Electrical Estimator to support major civil infrastructure tenders across renewables, water and energy sectors. You’ll prepare first-principles electrical estimates, work with engineering, procurement and delivery teams, and identify value engineering opportunities.

Ideal candidates will have tier 1/2 contractor experience, strong Excel and familiarity with Expert Estimation or CATS, plus the ability to interpret complex

Qualifications

• Electrical estimating experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 civil infrastructure contractor.
• First-principles estimating capability across multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Experience in water, wastewater, renewables or related sectors.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical specs.
• Understanding of electrical interfaces with civil, structural and mechanical construction.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with Expert Estimation, CATS or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed first-principles electrical estimates for multidisciplinary projects.
• Develop competitive tenders in collaboration with engineering, procurement and delivery teams.
• Assess project risks and identify value engineering opportunities.
• Interpret electrical drawings, specs and interfaces with civil and structural works.
