Job summary

Indigenous Business Growth (IBG) in Sydney is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to support major civil infrastructure projects across renewables, water, wastewater and energy sectors. Based in Sydney, you will prepare detailed first-principles electrical estimates for multidisciplinary projects, collaborating with engineering, procurement and delivery teams to develop competitive tenders.

Qualifications

• Electrical estimating experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 civil infrastructure contractor.
• First-principles estimating capability across multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Experience in water, wastewater, renewables, energy or related sectors.
• Interpretation of electrical drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Understanding of electrical interfaces with civil, structural and mechanical construction.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with Expert Estimation, CATS or similar software.

We're working with a leading Australian civil infrastructure contractor seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to support major projects across the renewables, water, wastewater and energy sectors.

We partner closely with contractors, engineering consultancies and delivery organisations to place high quality technical professionals. Based in Sydney, the role involves preparing detailed first-principles electrical estimates for multidisciplinary projects incorporating civil, structural and electrical construction. You'll work closely with engineering, procurement and delivery teams to develop competitive tenders, assess project risks and identify value engineering opportunities.

What we're looking for:

• Electrical estimating experience with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 civil infrastructure contractor.
• Strong first-principles estimating capability across multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Experience in water, wastewater, renewables, energy or related infrastructure sectors.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
• Understanding of electrical interfaces with civil, structural and mechanical construction.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with Expert Estimation, CATS or similar software.
