Job summary

ProFound People is recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer for Secondary Design in Brisbane. This permanent role sits within a growing engineering function and focuses on leading protection, automation and control design for HV transmission projects.

You will own the design work from concept to delivery, help build out the Queensland engineering team and may travel interstate as required to support a strong project pipeline.

Qualifications

• Electrical/Power Engineering degree or equivalent is required.
• 10+ years of experience in HV power transmission.
• Proven track record leading complex secondary systems design projects.
• Chartered status or eligibility for chartered status is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead secondary systems design projects covering protection, automation and control from concept through delivery.
• Take ownership of design work and drive outcomes for the QLD team.
• Support interstate travel as part of team expansion.

Senior Electrical Engineer, Secondary Design, Brisbane

A Brisbane-based engineering business, part of a large global infrastructure and engineering group with operations across power delivery and transmission, is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer, Secondary Design, to join its QLD team.

About the role:

This permanent, Brisbane-based position sits within a growing engineering function and involves leading secondary systems design projects, covering protection, automation and control, from concept through delivery. You'll be expected to take ownership of design work rather than contribute to someone else's, and you'll play a part in helping build out the QLD engineering team as it grows, which involves some interstate travel.

What you'll need:

• Electrical/Power Engineering degree, chartered or eligible for chartered status
• 10+ years of experience in the HV power transmission industry
• Demonstrated experience leading complex secondary systems design projects
• Proficiency with MiCom, DIgSILENT PowerFactory and PSS/E
