Job summary

Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group (NCIG) is seeking an Engineering Officer to blend hands-on electrical trade expertise with engineering, problem solving and project work at one of Australia’s major coal export terminals.

You’ll deliver small to medium engineering projects, provide fault-finding support, investigate equipment issues and drive reliability improvements across the plant, working with engineers, maintenance and operations teams to optimise performance.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade certificate.
• Current Electrical Licence.
• Higher tertiary qualification (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Provide practical engineering support including fault finding and investigations.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver small to medium engineering projects with governance.
• Coordinate and support functional safety testing to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate contractors and consultants to ensure safe, cost-effective delivery.
• Collaborate within the Assets Team and coach technicians as required.
