Job summary

SCRR Electrical Pty Ltd in Queensland is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to join our team. The role focuses on design, verification and support of low-voltage switchboards and power distribution systems, ensuring compliance with AS/NZS 61439 and relevant Australian Standards.

You will design schematics, perform calculations, and develop BOMs and documentation while liaising with customers, consultants and project managers to deliver projects on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum two years' experience in electrical engineering.
• Experience designing low-voltage switchboards.
• Strong knowledge of AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 61439 and relevant Australian standards.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop low-voltage electrical switchboards and power distribution systems.
• Prepare electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, general arrangements and engineering documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations including load calculations, short-circuit verification, temperature rise assessments and protection coordination.
• Verify switchboard designs for compliance with AS/NZS 61439 and other applicable Australian Standards.
• Provide engineering support to the manufacturing team and develop BOMs and technical documentation.
• Assist with FAT, commissioning support and fault investigation.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in design and manufacturing.
