Job summary

ARA Electrical Engineering Services – Tomago NSW is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee low voltage power and control, switchboard design in compliance with AS61439. The role involves leading projects, coordinating with engineers and draftsmen, and supporting design work at Tomago with site visits.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the engineering manager, other engineers and drafting teams to deliver project deliverables.
• Occasionally attend site to support design works, with most tasks performed at the Tomago office.

ARA Electrical Engineering Services – Tomago NSW

We are currently seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our Tomago operations. Predominately the work performed by the ARA Electrical engineering team involves low voltage power and control, along with switchboard design in compliance with AS61439.

Our engineering branch works are diverse, servicing design components associated with our manufacturing and installation divisions at ARA, along with studies, concept designs, and detailed designs for various clients.

Job Requirements:

This role requires a person with proven ability to lead electrical engineering projects, work under pressure, plan, and prioritise workloads in order to meet deadlines. You will need to display exceptional organisational, self-management and multi-tasking skills in order to successfully carry out concurrent jobs.

The successful applicant will work closely with the engineering manager, other engineers, and drafting teams to complete project deliverables.

Although work will mainly be performed at our Tomago office, you may be required to attend site from time to time as required to perform the design works.

The successful applicant will have as a minimum:

An Electrical Engineering Advanced Diploma/ Degree qualification

Demonstrated detailed design experience, leading brownfields electrical engineering projects

Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and electrical design software/tools including PowerCad5 and PTW

Good understanding of AS/NZS3000, AS/NZS3008, and ideally AS5368

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
