Job summary

NES Fircroft has partnered with a forward-thinking electrical engineering firm delivering high‑performance solutions across mining, power systems and renewables on the Gold Coast and Southern Brisbane. You’ll join a busy, collaborative team as a junior engineer, supporting design, calculations and commissioning activities across multiple projects.

Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and have 2+ years of design experience, with CAD modelling skills and a proactive

• Experience with electrical system modelling and CAD software.
• Demonstrated design experience delivering reliable, innovative designs.
• Minimum 2 years in a design role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise junior engineers and designers/drafters as needed.
• Prepare and review design calculations, reports, models, and other engineering deliverables.
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers and external stakeholders.
• Provide feedback on potential improvements to engineering processes.
• Partake in estimating budgets, schedules and project documents for approvals.
• Maintain a safe, positive working environment.

Junior Electrical Engineer – Gold Coast/Southern Brisbane

NES Fircroft has again partnered with a forward-thinking electrical engineering business that deliver high-performance solutions across mining, power systems, and renewable energy. They are an independent and approachable team looking for new ways to solve problems in Australia, and internationally. In this opportunity, you’ll have the chance to work on a range of different projects and be a part of a supportive and diverse team.

About the Role

With an exciting pipeline of projects over the next 12 months, you’ll be joining a busy, productive, and free-flowing team. Within this role, you’ll be liaising with several clients which are across a range of different industries, which will allow participation across several key project stages; feasibility studies, design, site inspections, and commissioning.

Key responsibilities include:

• As and when necessary, you will be required to supervise junior engineers and designers/drafters
• Prepare and review design calculations, reports, models, documentation, and other engineering deliverables
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, and further external stakeholders
• Always comply with existing engineering processes and provide feedback to management or senior engineers on potential improvements
• Partake in estimating budgets, schedules, and various other project documents for approval from PMs or Senior Engineers
• Ensure a safe, positive working environment always.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or approved equivalent
• Practical experience with electrical system modelling and CAD software
• Demonstrated performance in a design role which has resulted in delivering reliable, competent, innovative design
• 2+ years professional experience.
