Job summary

ACE Switchboards is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a permanent, full-time position in Cranbourne West, VIC. The role involves designing products to client specs and standards, generating drawings with AutoCAD, and preparing quotations for standard and bought-in items.

Responsibilities include commissioning/testing, establishing manufacturing standards, and ensuring QA compliance with relevant electrical safety standards. A degree and hands-on experience are needed.

Qualifications

• Electrical degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience.
• Experience with quality management systems in electrical contracting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design products per client specs and AS/NZS 61439.
• Create general arrangement, single line diagrams & BOMs in AutoCAD.
• Provide quotations for standard and bought-in items.
• Document control and QA of completed projects.

Job Description

Ace Switchboards Position : Full Time Location : Cranbourne West VIC

Salary : $80,000 - $100,000 a year ACE Switchboards was founded with the vision of providing a Total Solution for Electrical Industry with regards to Electrical Switchboard Requirements, it is fast becoming a major player in design and manufacturer of Main Switchboards, Distribution Boards, Meter Panels, Supply Connection Pillars, EVDBs, PVDBs, and BESS Boards. ACE Switchboards is currently looking for experienced electrical engineer to join their team on permanent full-time basis.

Duties and responsibilities will include: Design products as per client’s specifications & relevant standards AS/NZs 61439. Generate standard drawings including general arrangement, single line diagram and bills of materials using AutoCAD.

Provide quotations for standard 'off the shelf' products combined with 'bought-in' items and value-add components in an accurate and timely manner to customers. Commission and test apparatus/circuits to Australian standards Establishing manufacturing or installation standards and specifications.

Document Control of the completed projects including as-built drawings, factory acceptance test reports and product technical datasheets. Quality assurance of products for compliance with engineering and safety standards.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Electrical Degree qualified Minimum 2 years relevant experience Experience across quality management systems and procedures in electrical contracting field

Excellent communication and technical expertise in electrical engineering Strong Microsoft windows and office skills Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team Solutions based mindset
