Job summary

Clean And Green Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and deliver residential and commercial solar energy systems. The role focuses on developing electrical designs, calculations and technical documentation with attention to safety and regulatory compliance.

You will assess components such as panels, inverters and batteries and coordinate installation activities while providing technical guidance to installers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Relevant bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Minium 12 months' experience in Electrical Engineer role.
• Experience designing/assessing electrical power, solar PV or renewable energy systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, switchgear, cabling and inverters.
• Ability to interpret drawings, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Experience preparing electrical designs, calculations and documentation.
• Analytical problem-solving for system performance and safety.
• Strong communication with customers, installers and stakeholders.

Summary

Our client Clean and Green Solutions Pty Ltd is a South Australian owned solar solutions provider specialising in residential and commercial solar panels, inverters and battery systems. Our client is seeking to add an Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, installation and performance of electrical and renewable energy systems, while maintaining high standards of technical compliance, reliability and customer-focused project delivery.

The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Design electrical systems and solutions for residential and commercial solar energy projects.
• Prepare electrical designs, calculations, specifications and technical documentation for photovoltaic installations.
• Determine suitable circuits, protection devices, switchgear, cabling and electrical equipment arrangements.
• Assess solar panels, inverters, batteries and associated components for project suitability.
• Interpret electrical drawings, engineering specifications, standards and regulatory requirements for installations.
• Develop and review single-line diagrams, system layouts and electrical connection documentation.
• Coordinate installation schedules for electrical equipment, cabling, switchgear and renewable energy components.
• Provide technical guidance to installers and project personnel throughout solar installation activities.
• Inspect electrical installations and verify completed systems comply with approved engineering designs.
• Analyse system performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability and electrical safety.
• Support commissioning, testing, fault diagnosis and performance verification of installed solar systems.
• Assist with selecting appropriate electrical equipment and components for individual customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate engineering records, technical reports, drawings and project documentation.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, installers and project stakeholders regarding technical and engineering requirements.

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:

• A relevant bachelor degree or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 12 months' recent, directly relevant experience in an Electrical Engineer or closely comparable engineering role.
• Demonstrated experience designing, assessing or supporting electrical power, solar photovoltaic or renewable energy systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, switchgear, protection systems, cabling, inverters and associated power equipment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, electrical standards and applicable regulatory requirements accurately.
• Demonstrated capability preparing electrical designs, calculations, technical documentation and project-specific engineering recommendations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for system performance assessment, fault identification and technical improvement.
• Effective communication skills for working with customers, installers, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
