Job summary

ADP Consulting Melbourne is seeking a Technical Director – Electrical to lead the delivery of complex electrical building services and act as the technical point of contact for the Melbourne team. You will manage design quality, rigour and consistency while understanding commercial health of projects.

You will mentor engineers, shape design methodologies, and drive technical excellence across power systems, distribution and emergency power within a national and growing practice.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with Chartered status or eligibility (Engineers Australia).
• Registered Professional Engineer status in Victoria or eligibility under NER.
• Experience leading delivery of complex electrical building services projects.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC requirements and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication with clients, contractors and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical authority for complex electrical building services in Melbourne.
• Lead the technical delivery and peer review of high‑value electrical projects from concept to construction.
• Provide technical direction across power systems, distribution, substations, protection and emergency power.
• Monitor project financials, identify risks, and protect quality and commercial outcomes.
• Build and maintain client relationships as a trusted senior contact across a diverse portfolio.
• Develop and mentor engineers to raise technical standards and engineering excellence.
