Job summary

ADP Consulting is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design on Data Centre projects across Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. You’ll take end-to-end ownership from concept through to construction, coordinating with clients, architects and multidisciplinary teams.

You’ll mentor junior engineers, ensure compliance with Australian Standards and NCCs, and work with the team to deliver technically rigorous data centre solutions.

Qualifications

• Senior Electrical Engineer ready for leadership in data centre projects.
• Experience leading electrical building services design in consulting with data centre exposure.
• Ability to manage end-to-end design programs and be the primary client contact.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC requirements and data centre regulatory frameworks.
• Mentor junior engineers and take responsibility for their development.
• Holds or is working towards professional registration in Queensland.

We are growing our Building Services team and looking for an experienced Associate Electrical Engineer to join us in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane, with a focus on Data Centre sector projects. This is the right move for a Senior Engineer who has the technical depth and project experience to take on full project leadership, and who is looking for a firm that will give them the title and the responsibility to match.

What is your role?

You’ll lead the electrical design and delivery of projects across Data Centre sector, taking full end-to-end ownership from concept through to construction. Working closely with clients, architects and multidisciplinary consultants, you’ll manage project programs, coordinate across disciplines and be the primary technical point of contact for the projects you lead.

You’ll support senior engineers and Directors on more complex programmes while also mentoring junior engineers within the team. This is a role with genuine scope and variety, working across two sectors that place real demands on electrical design expertise and reward engineers who bring both technical rigour and professional maturity.

About You

• You are a Senior Electrical Engineer who is ready for more. You have the technical foundation and project experience to lead independently, and you are looking for an environment that matches your ambition with an appropriate title and the scope to grow into it. You bring sector knowledge in Data Centres, and you are motivated by technically demanding work.
• You have solid experience in electrical building services design in a consulting environment, with demonstrated exposure to Data Centre projects.
• You are confident leading projects end-to-end, managing design programs and being the primary point of contact for clients and consultants.
• You have a sound understanding of Australian Standards, NCC requirements and the specific regulatory and technical frameworks that apply to Data Centre facility design.
• You are beginning to mentor junior engineers and take that responsibility seriously.
• You hold a relevant tertiary qualification in electrical engineering and are working towards or hold professional registration in Queensland.
