Job summary

DT Infrastructure is hiring an Electrical Design Manager to lead electrical design activities across tenders, projects, and operations. The role oversees internal engineers and external consultants to ensure safe, compliant and cost-effective designs for utility-scale renewables.

You will lead end-to-end design management for solar and BESS, drive governance, and ensure integration with civil, mechanical, and construction teams across multiple Australian projects.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of post-graduate electrical engineering experience.
• 5+ years in senior electrical design leadership or management.
• Extensive delivery of major infrastructure projects focusing on utility-scale solar, wind, and BESS.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and coordinating with consultants.
• Strong knowledge of design development from concept to commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Provide Technical Leadership: guide internal electrical engineering teams and external consultants.
• End-to-End Design Management: oversee electrical design from concept to construction support for solar and BESS projects.
• Ensure Integration: coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical, and construction teams for best life-cycle outcomes.
• Drive Governance & Assurance: own design assurance, governance, change control and risk management.
• Implement Standards: enforce standards, procedures, audits, and cost-effective designs.
