Job summary

Fyfe in Melbourne seeks an Electrical & Controls Engineer to provide concept to detailed design, procurement support, construction assistance and commissioning support for infrastructure projects. You will contribute to LV/MV electrical design, I&C work, and coordination with process, mechanical and operations teams, applying Australian Standards and design tools to deliver reliable power solutions.

Qualifications

Proven experience in Medium Voltage/Low Voltage electrical design.
Demonstrated I&C design experience.
Strong knowledge of Australian Standards.
Ability to contribute across all project phases from concept to detailed delivery.

Responsibilities

Prepare and check electrical and control deliverables (SLDs, drawings, I/O schedules, cable schedules, loop and termination drawings).
Support LV design activities including cable sizing and load inputs.
Use Elecdes and other tools to produce consistent drawings and schedules.
Prepare inputs for design reports, specs and reviews.
Develop instrumentation and control packages for water, wastewater, mining and industrial facilities.
Coordinate controls requirements with process, mechanical and operations stakeholders.
Participate in safety reviews (HAZOP/CHAZOP) and constructability reviews.
Identify design risks and communicate mitigation actions.
Deliver work packages to scope, schedule and budget.
