Job summary

Fyfe is seeking an Electrical & Controls Engineer in our Infrastructure Team based in Melbourne to provide concept design through to detailed design, procurement support, construction assistance and commissioning support. If you enjoy solving technical challenges and want to shape reliable power solutions for some of the market's most complex projects, this is a great opportunity to make an impact.

You will work across process, mechanical and operations stakeholders, use Elecdes, and deliver

Qualifications

• Proven experience in MV/LV electrical design.
• Strong working knowledge of Australian Standards.
• Demonstrated experience in I&C design.
• Experience on complex infrastructure projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical and control system deliverables including SLDs, network drawings, I/O schedules, cable schedules, loop drawings, panel layouts, datasheets and BOMs.
• Support LV design activities including cable sizing, containment sizing, reticulation diagrams, generator sizing and load inputs.
• Use design tools such as Elecdes to produce consistent drawings and schedules.
• Prepare technical inputs for design reports, specifications and design review packs.
• Develop instrumentation and control design packages for water, wastewater, mining and industrial facilities.
• Coordinate controls requirements with process, mechanical and operations stakeholders.
• Contribute to safety reviews (HAZOP, CHAZOP) and risk mitigation.
• Deliver work packages to scope, schedule and budget.
• Coordinate inputs with other design teams and resolve interface issues.
