We are looking for an Electrical Control Systems Technician to join our Design & Innovation team due to a retirement within the team. This position has the opportunity to be based flexibly across a range of our Victorian sites and reports to the Electrical Design Manager.
This role will see you supporting the development, implementation and delivery of electrical and control systems across a diverse portfolio of capital projects within our business. You will work closely with Project Managers, Operations teams and key stakeholders to develop control system solutions, provide technical expertise and ensure the successful delivery of electrical and automation components of projects.
You will also provide electrical and control systems technical support throughout all phases of project delivery and manage smaller control or electrical-based projects.
Success in this role will require a strong focus on safety, collaboration and continuous improvement, as well as the ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders across geographically diverse locations. You will actively support GrainCorp's commitment to safe project delivery while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and aligned to approved business cases.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in electrical and control systems engineering, industrial automation or a related discipline, supported by a relevant engineering degree, electrical trade qualification or equivalent technical background.
You will bring hands-on experience with PLC and SCADA systems, control system design, commissioning and troubleshooting, together with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and project delivery. Your ability to communicate effectively, build strong stakeholder relationships and collaborate across technical and operational teams will be critical to your success.
Experience within grain handling, manufacturing, bulk materials handling or other heavy industrial environments will be highly regarded.
