Job summary

ProFound People Pty Ltd is seeking an Electrical & Controls Engineer to join our Adelaide team. The role focuses on PLC/SCADA programming for Water & Wastewater projects, with responsibilities across design, configuration and commissioning.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in electrical, controls or automation, with experience in water-related projects and strong problem-solving and teamwork skills. This permanent position is based in Adelaide, SA.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in electrical, controls, automation or related roles.
• Experience programming PLCs and SCADA for industrial settings.
• Experience in Water, Wastewater or Utilities sectors.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, panels and VSDs.
• Ability to read schematics, P&IDs and drawings.
• Experience in design, development and implementation of control systems.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience supporting projects from design to commissioning.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Program, develop and maintain PLC and SCADA systems.

ROLE – Electrical & Controls Engineer – Water & Wastewater

SALARY - $140,000 - $160,000 per annum, dependent on experience

TYPE – Permanent

LOCATION – Adelaide, SA

My client provides specialist engineering solutions across the Water and Wastewater sector. They are looking for an Electrical & Controls Engineer with experience in PLC/SCADA programming and the Water industry to join their growing team in Adelaide.

The Electrical & Controls Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• At least 3 years of experience in Electrical, Controls, Automation or similar Engineering roles
• Experience with PLC programming, SCADA systems and industrial automation
• Experience within the Water, Wastewater or Utilities industry
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation, control panels and VSDs
• Able to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs and engineering drawings
• Experience with the design, development and implementation of control systems
• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline
• Experience supporting projects through design, installation, testing and commissioning
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team

The Electrical & Controls Engineer role will involve:

• Programming, developing and maintaining PLC and SCADA systems
• Designing and implementing electrical and control solutions for Water and Wastewater treatment systems
