Job summary

Mission Critical Recruitment in Melbourne is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to lead full life cycle commissioning of critical data centre facilities.

You will work across generators, UPS, PDUs, HV/MV and LV switchgear, coordinating tests and documenting outcomes while communicating complex ideas to non-technical audiences under pressure.

Qualifications

• Electrically qualified (trade or tertiary).
• Commissioning experience in complex or critical environments; data centre experience not essential.
• Background could be in pharmaceutical, hospitals, airports, universities or industrial facilities.
• Excellent documentational skills, strong communicator and technically minded.
• Must be able to present complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

MCR are recruiting a Electrical Commissioning Engineer to work on large, high profile data centre commissioning projects in Melbourne.

The nature of this role is to provide engineering and technical support to plan, schedule, coordinate and execute full life cycle commissioning of critical data centre facilities. You will be involved in all stages of commissioning, from early design, managing commissioning scripts, witness testing through to project handover.
You’ll work across complex electrical systems including:

• Generators
• UPS Systems
• Power Distribution Units
• HV/MV Systems
• LV Switchgear

Requirements

• Electrically qualified (trade or tertiary)
• Data centre experience not essential butcommissioning experience in complex or critical environments.
• Your background could be in pharmaceutical, hospitals, airports, universities industrial facilities etc.
• Excellent documentational skills, strong communicator and technically minded.
• Must know how to present complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and remain calm under pressure
