Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Electrical Colo Regional Engineer in Melbourne to provide full life-cycle support for data centers from design through site improvements and maintenance. You will be the go-to engineering resource for the region, leading projects to fit out colo data centers and expanding the fleet to meet demand.

The role requires strong engineering judgement, field readiness, and experience managing engineering projects and consultants.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities

Responsibilities

• Review design input and submittals with colo vendors for new data centers
• Serve as resident engineer during colo construction, support commissioning and handover
• Troubleshoot and perform RCA; create corrective action documents
• Provide technical support to existing data center upgrades and efficiency improvements
• Collaborate with operating partners and design teams to ensure standards and reliability
• Lead site audits and produce reports with risk mitigations
