Job summary
Sedgman is seeking trade-qualified Electricians to join our team, combining electrical maintenance with CHPP plant responsibilities to keep the site running safely and reliably.
Work with operators, maintainers and site leadership to achieve production targets, improve plant reliability, and uphold our strong safety culture during a 7/7 rotating roster. A Queensland electrical qualification and current driver’s licence are required.
Qualifications
- Trade qualified Electrician with a Queensland-recognised electrical qualification.
- Experience in mining, minerals processing, manufacturing, heavy industry or a similar industrial environment.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work a 7/7 rotating day and night roster.
- Current driver’s licence.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control CHPP plant and equipment in line with site procedures, production targets and safety requirements.
- Perform electrical fault finding, diagnostics, breakdown repairs and corrective maintenance across fixed plant equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections, identify equipment defects and support planned maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot plant issues to improve reliability and minimise downtime.
- Use mobile equipment safely and maintain housekeeping standards, including washdowns and spill management.
- Contribute to a positive team culture with a strong focus on safety, reliability and continuous improvement.
