Job summary

Sedgman is seeking experienced CHPP Operator Maintainers with an Electrical or Mechanical background for a permanent full-time role near Muswellbrook, NSW. The position offers a lifestyle 5/5/4 roster with day and night shifts.

You will operate and maintain CHPP equipment, conduct inspections, support planned maintenance, monitor performance, clear blockages and uphold safety culture; supervisor training (S123) is a plus.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised Electrical or Mechanical trade qualification.
• Previous experience in mining, minerals processing or heavy industry.
• Ability to work a rotating day and night shift roster.
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork and reliability.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Supervisor Training (S123) highly regarded but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Operating the CHPP in accordance with site procedures and production targets.
• Conducting routine inspections and identifying equipment defects.
• Performing breakdown maintenance and supporting planned maintenance activities.
• Monitoring plant performance and taking corrective action where required.
• Clearing blockages from chutes, pumps, screens, crushers, conveyors, sumps and associated plant equipment.
• Operating mobile equipment safely around fixed plant and stockpile areas.
• Contributing to a strong safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives.

Due to continued growth and site expansion, Sedgman is seeking experienced CHPP Operator Maintainers with either an Electrical or Mechanical background.

About the Role

Reporting to the Production Superintendent, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the CHPP while supporting plant performance and reliability targets.
