Job summary

Sedgman is hiring for CHPP Operator Maintainer roles near Muswellbrook, NSW. You will operate the CHPP, perform inspections, and assist with maintenance to ensure reliability and safety. Roles include day and night shifts on a 5/5/4 roster, with opportunities to grow within a global minerals processing leader.

The role requires Australian-recognised electrical or mechanical trade qualifications and mining or heavy industry experience. Strong safety, teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised Electrical or Mechanical trade qualification.
• Experience in mining, minerals processing or heavy industry.
• Ability to work rotating day/night shift roster.
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork and reliability.
• Supervisor Training (S123) highly regarded but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate the CHPP in accordance with site procedures and production targets.
• Conduct routine inspections and identify equipment defects.
• Perform breakdown maintenance and support planned maintenance.
• Monitor plant performance and take corrective action as required.
• Clear blockages from chutes, pumps, screens, crushers, conveyors and related equipment.
• Operate mobile equipment safely around fixed plant and stockpile areas.
• Contribute to a strong safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives.
