Job summary

Randstad is partnering with a premier Australian manufacturing leader to recruit an Electrical / AutoCAD Design Drafter to develop power distribution and control system drawings for high-spec industrial equipment. If you enjoy turning 2D designs into real-world assets on the factory floor, this role puts you at the heart of execution.

You'll work closely with Design Leads, Senior Project Managers, and shop-floor technicians, progressing concepts from schematics to assembled switchboards powering

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of AutoCAD drafting experience.
• Experience with LV switchboards or control panels is a bonus.
• Strong drafting accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design complete drawing packages from concept layouts to IFC.
• Produce mechanical layouts, single-line schematics, wiring diagrams, and fabrication docs.
• Collaborate with workshop and assembly teams to resolve design challenges.
• Apply Australian Standards to deliver compliant, high-quality designs.
• Manage revisions and ECOs across project timelines.
