Job summary

Nestlé Broadford Factory is seeking an Electrical & Automation Engineer to support MES, electrical and automation activities in our confectionery production site. You will work under the Engineering Manager and contribute to CAPEX projects, driving safety, reliability and efficiency across the line.

You will lead electrical infrastructure work, coordinate with production and quality teams, and ensure MES/EA documentation stays current.

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma qualified with solid Electrical and Automation experience.
1+ years Automation and/or MES engineer with Electrical experience.
Experience in Personnel Supervision of technical teams, contractors or other 3rd parties.
Participation in development of engineering projects as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Proficient in installation, programming and troubleshooting of Allen Bradley PLCs and variable speed drives.
In-depth knowledge of instrumentation and process control, MES, MMI & communication.
Proactive, thorough and detail‑oriented with strong relationship skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence and negotiate for high standards.

Responsibilities

Manage factory electrical infrastructure from design through installation, maintenance and upgrade.
Participate in Capital Investments projects ensuring solutions follow standards.
Prepare user and technical specifications.
Ensure safety for people, products and environment; maintain safe operations.
Coordinate MES-EA modifications and change management.
Drive continuous improvement of factory processes and product characteristics.
Supervise automation and MES maintenance and project work by crews.
Collaborate with Production, Quality and Engineering to resolve MES issues.
Deepen understanding of processes and drive improvements in quality, safety or efficiency.
