Job summary

MobReady in Sydney is actively seeking First Nations candidates to start a career as an Electrical Apprentice. Over four years you will learn under a skilled team, gaining electrical experience on diverse projects across Sydney and completing a Cert III Electrotechnology.

Immediate start available with sites City of Sydney and a Rockdale depot. Mentoring will be culturally sensitive to support your success in this targeted role.

Qualifications

• Must be Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
• Pass a Police check (flexible).
• Pass a Pre-Employment Medical including drug & alcohol.
• Have a White Card.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform repair, maintenance and installation of electrical equipment at training/apprenticeship level.
• Follow safety standards and training guidelines on project sites across Sydney.

The Role:

We are actively seeking motivated First Nations candidates to kickstart your career as an Electrical Apprentice, working across various projects in Sydney. Over the 4 years, you will work with a highly skilled team to learn all the tricks of the trade.

You will gain electrical experience, whilst working on projects across Sydney and also completing a Cert III Electrotechnology.

Immediate start available.

Work sites are across City of Sydney with depot located in Rockdale.

The successful candidate will receive Culturally sensitive mentoring to ensure they have all the support necessary to succeed.

This role is targeted for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates only.

Key Responsibilities:

Under the guidance and supervision of the qualified team, you will be required to carry out repairing, maintaining and installation works of electrical equipment in line with your training/apprenticeship level, as well as any other reasonable duties expected of an Electrical Apprentice.
