Job summary

MobReady is seeking an Electrical Apprentice with a First Nations focus to start on a major project in Ryde, Sydney. Over the four-year traineeship you will learn wiring, installation and maintenance from a skilled team while working across Greater Sydney and pursuing Cert III Electrotechnology.

Immediate start available; this targeted role supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates with mentoring and guidance to succeed in construction environments.

Qualifications

• Targeted role for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent.
• Pursuing Cert III Electrotechnology as part of the apprenticeship.
• Willingness to learn in a construction environment and across Sydney.
• Ability to obtain Police check and pass a Pre-Employment Medical.

Responsibilities

• Repairing, maintaining and installing electrical equipment in line with training level.
• Assist senior electricians on multiple projects across Sydney.
• Complete tasks as directed and undertake related duties as required.

The Role

We are actively seeking motivated First Nations candidates to kickstart your career as an Electrical Apprentice, working across various projects in Sydney, starting on a major project in Ryde. Over the 4 years, you will work with a highly skilled team to learn all the tricks of the trade. You will gain electrical experience, whilst working on construction projects across Sydney and also completing a Cert III Electrotechnology. Immediate start available. Work sites are across Greater Sydney with first project based in Ryde.

Key Responsibilities

Under the guidance and supervision of the qualified team, you will be required to carry out repairing, maintaining and installation works of electrical equipment in line with your training/apprenticeship level, as well as any other reasonable duties expected of an Electrical Apprentice.
