Job summary

Think Renewable in Newcastle is seeking a 2nd to 4th year Electrical Apprentice to join our Newcastle team. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to solar installations and battery systems, with mentoring from experienced electricians.

You'll work five days a week on-site, develop practical skills, and contribute to real projects in the renewable energy sector. Candidates with 1 year completed are welcome to apply, and a positive work ethic is essential.

Qualifications

• Willingness to develop skills in solar installations and electrical work.
• Electrotechnology Pre-App Cert II completed is required.
• Autonomy and initiative with minimal supervision.
• Strong work ethic and readiness to work hard.
• White Card/Construction License is essential.
• Working at Heights ticket preferred.
• Full Driver’s License preferred.
• Solar experience is preferred, but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and setting up solar installation projects.
• Lead daily on-site activities and ensure progress of jobs.
• Take initiative to solve problems and ask questions when in doubt.
• Maintain and care for equipment to keep operations efficient.
• Assist electricians with various tasks and contribute to project success.
