Job summary

RGIT Australia is seeking an Electrical Apprentice (Year 1–3) to join a growing team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will work with qualified electricians on solar and battery installations for residential and commercial projects, in a safety‑focused environment.

You will gain hands-on experience, receive ongoing training, and be mentored by experienced electricians. A driver’s licence, White Card, and Heights training are required or obtainable.

Qualifications

  • Currently an Electrical Apprentice (Year 1–3) or eligible to start an apprenticeship.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s licence.
  • Must hold a White Card (Construction Induction Certificate).
  • Must hold Working Safely at Heights certificate or be willing to obtain it.
  • Interest in solar and battery industry with a genuine willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Assist qualified electricians with installation of residential and commercial solar and battery systems.
  • Follow WHS and safety regulations, site procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Learn to read and interpret electrical schematics, plans, and blueprints.
  • Participate in ongoing safety training and on‑the‑job learning.
  • Support the team in fault finding, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition.
  • Accurately document work completed and report progress to supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist qualified electricians with the installation of residential and commercial solar and battery systems

About You
  • Currently registered as an Electrical Apprentice (Year 1–3), or eligible to be signed into an apprenticeship
  • Hold a current and valid driver’s licence
  • Hold a White Card (Construction Induction Certificate)
  • Hold a Working Safely at Heights certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong interest in the solar and battery industry with a genuine willingness to learn
  • Basic understanding of electrical principles (advantageous but not essential)
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Comfortable using basic hand and power tools safely
