Job summary

Hunter Power Systems Pty Ltd – Beresfield NSW is seeking a motivated 1st Year Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This full-time four-year apprenticeship will develop skills in diesel generators, control systems, switchboards, and temporary power equipment, with learning across our workshop, rental fleet and customer sites.

You will train under qualified tradespeople, completing TAFE studies and gaining practical experience from day one.

Qualifications

• The applicant should be honest, reliable and hard working.
• Commitment to completing a four-year electrical apprenticeship and the associated TAFE studies.
• Interest in electrical systems, machinery, engines or how equipment works.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assembly, wiring, testing and commissioning of generator systems.
• Work with generator control systems, switchboards, circuit breakers, batteries and charging systems.
• Assist with electrical fault-finding, repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and technical information.
• Install and test electrical components, cabling and control equipment.
