Job summary

Standby Power Services Pty Ltd is offering an Apprentice Electrician role in a hands-on workshop environment. You’ll learn by diagnosing, repairing, servicing and testing a range of electrical and industrial equipment, including generators and power tools.

This is a 4-year electrical apprenticeship combining on-the-job training with formal study, with guidance from an experienced team to help you become a qualified electrician.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
• Strong problem-solving skills and genuine interest in how things work.
• Interest in electrical equipment, maintenance and fault finding.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Professional attitude and presentation.
• Current manual driver's licence and reliable transport.
• Commitment to completing formal training and apprenticeship requirements.

Responsibilities

• Learn through hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, servicing and testing equipment.
• Work with generators, welding equipment, power tools and electrical systems.
• Develop practical skills to become a qualified electrician.
• Be supported by an experienced team during the apprenticeship.
